Dakota Bo, now 11 years old

We adopted Dakota Bo as a yearling at the Elm Creek, NE facility. He has been a delightful addition to our family. It took a few days to be able to pet him, but within a week we could brush, tie, pick up all four hooves, and lead him fairly effectively. We gentled him over the next few years.

Today I trust him with my young nieces and nephews. When we pull in the driveway, he calls to us until we come see him.

I have had many horses over the years, but none with the personality, and willingness to learn we were so pleased to find with Dakota. It also has been incredible that his health is so good. He has never had issues with his health, his hooves, or any accidents. We are truly blessed that this American Mustang has come to be such an integral part of our family.
